The wait is over! Jadakiss is back on the scene, and this time I think he’s here to stay. The Last Kiss hit stores earlier this week. Don’t be alarmed by the name of the album, this is not the last you’ll here of Jada, its just the closing of a trilogy. (Kiss tha Game Goodbye was the first album, and the second album was The Kiss of Death)
After multiple push backs, Jada dropped this album after signing with Roc-A-Fella Records. I’ve been bumping this album non- stop since i got my hands on it. Jada made a statement this go ’round, and set the standard for the summer with this album. With collaborations with artists such as Nas, Mary J. Blige, Pharell, and Lil’ Wayne, Jada developed an array of tracks that command your ear, while keeping your head bumpin’. In my opinion Jada solidified his spot as one of the best with The Last Kiss; their was always room for debate prior to this album, but he is now unquestionably in the category of hip hop’s elite.
I was checking out the videos on 106andpark.com this morning since I knew Jada had been on the show earlier this week promoting the album. There was one clip that I found captivating. While Jadakiss and Nas were chopping it up with Terrance & Rocsi, I took notice to the fact that 2 of the Top 5 MC’s in hip- hop were sitting on the couch. These two dudes have been bringing the hits to hip -hop heads for over a decade, and show no signs of slowing down. This video is a must see, check it out here.
